About Us

The department of Economics is a premier department in Dhenkanal Auto College, Dhenkanal, which is a leading educational institution of Dhenkanal district.The Department was established in 1959, and offers Economics as an Honours subject in the Bachelors Degree with 48 Seats. This department also imparts PG course with 16 seats since 2022-23 academic session. The glory of this department lies in the fact that it is the most aspired department among the Arts students and the students of this department are considered to be the best brains of the college in Arts stream. This department is a small but beautiful department. With only four numbers of sanctioned posts, the department manages the curricular as well as extracurricular activities. The department imparts career oriented teaching to the students to enable them to compete at par with their national level counterparts. The department organizes various seminars and workshops on contemporary issues to aquaint the ting brains with the vast changing economic scenario of the present time.
