About the Programm

        The Youth Red Cross Wing functioning in this college. The aim & objective of this is to inculcate service mentality among the students. Red Cross is an international voluntary organization constituted under the patronization of the Government in every country. Any bonafide student of this college can be a member of Youth Red Cross. Members of YRC are to associate themselves with various services activities in the society like arrangement of awareness programme for eradication of social evils and superstitions, disaster management etc. Students who want to take part are directed to consult with the Counselor YRC of this college.

1. YRC Activities- 2014-15:- Nearly 50 volunteers are recruited for session-2014-15

2. An orientation programme was conducted for newly recruited volunteers to aware them about Red Cross and induced volunteerism among them.

3. District committee meeting on 12.08.2014 involving all colleges of the district to finalise the activity calendar for 2014-15 session.

4. A plantation awareness programme was held in the college premises on15.08.2014 followed by a rally in the Dhenkanal town to create awareness among the student about plantation.

5. A massive plantation programme was done in the College premises on 14th and 15th August 2014 in which more than 200 plants of medicinal importance were planted.

6. A massive campus cleaning drive was held on 14th November-2014 on the banner “SWACHHA BHARAT ABHIJAN” in collaboration with NSS of the college to make the Campus clean and also to create awareness among the students and staffs about importance of cleanliness and sanitation.

7. It is also planned to conduct 2 blood donation camp, road safety awareness week.
