Central Library

Library of Dhenkanal Autonomous college was set up in 1969. The library is housed in a separate building of 4000 sqft spread over two floors. It acts as the learning resource centre and occupies a unique place in academic and research activities of the institution. It identifies, evaluates, procures, processes and then makes these learning resources available to faculties and students for their teaching, learning and research assignments. It is playing a major role in supporting academic programmes of the college. The Library has a stock of more than 30,000 number of Text, Reference books and Competitive books like OPSC, SSC, Bank, OJEE etc. The Ground Floor and 1st Floor of the Library has been named as Lending Library and Reference Library respectively. Automation of Library activities is under process using e-Granthalaya , a versatile user-friendly software of NIC (National Informatics Centre) , Govt. of India. The Library is on the way to fully automation. The E-library consists of Desktop-Computer for accessing e-resources and other learning activities for Students as well as teachers. Local Area Network (LAN) has also implemented for better Library service. The Students have also access to N-LIST (INFLIBNET) for various e-journals and e-books. Besides each Department of the College has a Seminar Library for which Books and Journals are procured every year for the use of students and teachers. The whole library and its premises are under 24*7 CCTV surveillance.
